philospher, poet,political activist Allam Iqbal (R.A) was born this day in 1877.

most of his work is in persian, however he has great deal of work in urdu as well,

he is the man who gave dreamed for Pakistan...which was realized after 9 years of his death by Barrister Muhammad Ali Jinnah(R.A)...

he is regarded as the main architect of the muslim uprise in the sub-continent for freedom.

Iman Khumaini(R.A) said his youth was greatly influenced by the works of Allama Iqbal and Mullana Madodi, which lead to the Revolution of Iran.

his works continue to inspire millions and millions of people all over the world, he is well known and respected among tajiks, afgans, iranian,bangalies, pakistanis,indians, and to some extend in germans

It's always positive to hear about the culture of an other country, unfortunately about this we in Europe [ I guess also in other countries], we tend to be be too local to know more about other environments.

This is a fault, a cultural fault. Even if , of course, we cannot expect that in all countries people know all about other countries ... this is clear. Anyway ...

We really miss knowledges about Asiatic literature. Not only Pakistani, but also Iranian, Indian ... Only novel writers are well known here [the same about Japan and China].
